ABOUT

Hyeji Woo is a London-based, Korean visual artist whose work mainly addresses the chaos and conflict of energy, and the relationship between the disorder of entropy and human routine. She is particularly interested in the movement of energy. She rejects stationary forms and statements, which enables her work to move and change by itself, using the laws of nature and energy of substance that activates the movement within her work. She currently investigates the temporality of material and its metamorphosis by the passage of time. Hyeji Woo has an interdisciplinary practice across a variety of mediums including sculpture, installation, sound, found object and painting. She has completed a MA in Fine Art at Central Saint Martins, and she is a recipient of Red Mansion Art Prize 2015.
